The University of Konstanz is one of eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany. Since 2007 it has been successful in the German Excellence Initiative and its follow-up programme, the Excellence Strategy.
The successful applicant will join a newly founded research group at the University of Konstanz. In this research group, we study the automatic design of control software for multi-robot systems, for example, through techniques from machine learning, evolutionary computation and reinforcement learning.
The position is available as part of a project funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation and provides an exciting opportunity for candidates wishing to conduct frontier research on swarm robotics and imitation learning. The research has a strong interdisciplinary focus, at the intersection of machine learning, robotics and collective behavior. The working language is English. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to modern research in robotics, to work in one of the best research environments for collective behavior, and to interact with the global research community.
