Reference No.: 2024/086. The position is available from August 1, 2024 or later and is initially limited to three years with the possibility for a one-time extension for another three years. In principle, this position can be divided into two part-time positions.

The Department of Politics and Public Administration at the Chair of Public Administration seeks an academic assistant with the opportunity for a doctorate or habilitation is available as of August 1, 2024. The Chair's research focuses on the agile and digital transformation of public administrations. The research team works in digital presence. The courses must be held in face-to-face mode during the semester.

Expectations

    • Collaboration on digital transformation research projects
    • Publish in high-ranked, peer-reviewed public administration journals
    • Teaching one resp. two courses (2 resp. 4SWS depending on the number of full-time equivalents, also in English)
    • Supervision and advising of students
    • Support in administrative teaching tasks

Your profile

    • Excellent masters degree (honors degree) in public administration (preferably with a concentration in public management or technology management)
    • Interest in the digital transformation of public administrations
    • Very good knowledge and skills in empirical social science research methods
    • Very good written and spoken English skills
    • Ability and willingness to work independently and in a team setting
