Doctoral Position in Corporate Finance
(part-time 50 %, E 13 TV-L)

The Chair of Corporate Finance (Professor Dr. Axel Kind) at the Department of Economics of the University of Konstanz is inviting applications for a position as a PhD candidate. Gross salary will be 50 % of a full-time position, in accordance with the regulations of the German public service salary scale E 13 TV-L. The initial contract will have a duration of three years (with a possible extension). The successful candidate will also be enrolled in the GSBS doctoral programme.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist with complex data processing and management
- Support teaching and tutoring at the Chair of Corporate Finance
- Conduct research in the field of corporate finance
- Develop and apply quantitative and empirical research methods
- Present findings at conferences and publish research in academic journals
- Collaborate on research projects
- Assist in preparing research proposals and grant applications
Your Competencies
- Strong written and oral communications skills in English and German are required
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Interest in research questions addressed by the research group
- A very good scientific graduate degree in economics or a related field (e.g. mathematics, physics, or computer science) is mandatory
