Full Professorship (W3) in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy of Higher Age

The Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Natural Sciences, subject to the approval of the University Council, seeks to fill this position by 01st October 2024.

In research, the position holder is expected to have a proven track record in the field of clinical psychology and psychotherapy of higher age. In addition, connectivity to the research foci of the Department of Psychology as well as to interdisciplinary research networks (e.g., SMARTACT, Cluster Collective Behaviour, Cluster Inequality, Centre for Human | Data | Society) are desirable. In cooperation with the other clinical psychology chairs, the position holder will be responsible for the management of the university’s research and teaching outpatient clinic as well as for teaching in the psychology degree programmes.

Requirements for the appointment of professors are regulated by § 47 Higher Education Act of the State Baden-Württemberg. For the W3 professorship in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy of Higher Age, publications in international peer-reviewed journals and a successful record of third-party funding are required in addition to a habilitation or habilitation-equivalent achievements in the field of psychology as well as a German Licensure to practice psychotherapy (i.e., Approbation as a Psychological Psychotherapist).
