The Department of Economics of the Faculty of Politics, Law and Economics, seeks to fill the professorship starting October 1, 2022.

The University of Konstanz is one of eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany. Since 2007, it has been successful in the German Excellence Initiative and its follow-up programme, the Excellence Strategy.

We seek candidates with an outstanding research agenda, especially in the fields Labor/Public Economics and Economic Policy. Synergies with the research areas of the department Labor and Public Economics and Decision Making are desired (https://www.wiwi.uni-konstanz.de/en/research/research-priorities).

The motivation to actively participate in one of the two Clusters of Excellence at the University of Konstanz, The Politics of Inequality and Centre for the Advanced Study of Collective Behaviour is a requirement. It is expected that the Professorship contributes to our PhD programs within the Graduate School of the Social and Behavioural Sciences.

The position requires a doctoral degree and outstanding scientific achievements, documented by publications in the best international journals of the profession. The professorship will teach in the Bachelor and Master programs of the department. A track record of teaching in the mentioned fields is desired.
